This is an interesting idea about how to deal with the public pension problems such as we have here in New Haven. New Haven has used these same overly optimistic (if not delusionally) high return ratios to reduce the amount it has to contribute each year. This op-ed suggests one way for finding our way out of the huge pit our Mayor dug.
